Food RemembersOctober 26-30, 20267:00-9:00 EDTPrerequisite: Any Tracker ClassCost: $250This class will be taught by long-time instructor Jorge Brana. Jorge brings a passionate approach to food, which Tom often noted was a huge, yet intangible, ingredient. We will be covering the nourishment of food for our body, mind, and spirit. During this week, we’re offering an overview of preparation of food that can help you in your life. Whether on survival outings or winter camping, conditions can change rapidly. It’s important to know what to do and how to approach any type of situation in relation to food including caloric intake and helping others. We will also focus on some recipes to keep ourselves healthy. We will talk about things like the importance of proteins, carbohydrates, electrolytes, calories, etc. We’re lucky enough to be able to offer this class online, so Jorge will guide you through some recipes that you can prepare as we go or later on as homework no matter where you are. Learn through experience while making these recipes, get a feel for cooking times, the ingredients that are already in your kitchen or that you can forage in your area, empowering the food to make it healthier for you, etc. This is an overview designed to get your hands in and begin gaining dirt time.
